A mudroom acts as a transition between the outdoors and the indoors, mainly functioning as a hold for things that would clutter up the house. These include footwear, wet clothes, and sports gear. Mudrooms have been around for decades but have become increasingly popular as American homes have become bigger.
This very busy Collegeville family needed a practical, organized storage space that would function as a drop zone for the kids and get essentials like backpacks, boots and coats out of the way. They also felt their first-floor laundry area could use a much-needed facelift! The solution to giving them a mud room was borrowing from the existing laundry and garage storage space and rethinking the overall layout and existing garage entry area. They knew they could turn to us for an innovative solution; to accommodate these needed changes, we tapped into unused space in the adjacent garage and reconfigured each space to make it more functional and beautiful than ever!
We truly hope this mudroom remodel gives you inspiration and ideas on how to organize and improve your home! When you are ready to start, give us a call to help you design a space that works perfectly for your family’s needs.
